Land of Lincoln Quarter Horse Association |
|
LLQHA YouthAlthough LLQHA does not have a separate youth association, its youth members have an active part in the association. Youth members can compete for year-end awards and for the opportunity to represent Land of Lincoln in the National Youth Activities Team Tournament (NYATT) at the Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio in October.
Points towards year-end awards are not accumulated until a current year membership is paid and the horse is nominated for awards. There is no charge for the nomination. In order to represent Land of Lincoln QHA at the Quarter Horse Congress, each youth member must meet certain requirements and expectations. The youth must be a member of LLQHA (with an individual membership or as part of a family membership). |
Each youth must fill out and send a letter of intent to the youth advisor by the established deadline. Sponsorships must be obtained. A worksheet is made available to the interested youth in order for that youth to work an established number of hours in order for the club to contribute towards the youth's stall expenses if he/she is chosen to represent LLQHA at the Congress.
